A woman has been injured after she drover her car off a parking garage at 6th and Brazos. It's the second time a driver has broken through cable wiring at that garage.

It all happened at around 8:30 a.m. Austin/Travis County EMS says the woman is believed to be in her 30s. She was taken to the hospital with potentially serious injuries.

A driver of a Tahoe says he heard a noise and pulled forward fearing an incident due his knowledge of the history of the garage. He says just as he pulled forward a black BMW struck him and broke out all of his rear windows.

The driver says he jumped out and along with others and went to check on the woman.

APD says the car landed in the alley between 5th and 6th Streets. Two eastbound lanes of 6th and two westbound lanes of 5th and the alley were closed.

On September 9th, a man driving a 4 Runner went off the top of the parking garage. His vehicle was suspended in mid air as a cable wrapped around the SUV's axle. Someone helped pull the driver out of the vehicle and was okay.

CAR DANGLES FROM GARAGE

City code enforcement investigated the September incident and says the building was found in violation when the wires broke but the violation was removed once the building fixed the damages.

Code enforcement returned after today's incident and will once again investigate.
