A man is in critical condition after a shooting officials say
AUSTIN,Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - A man is critically hurt in a Christmas Eve shooting in east Travis County.
It happened around 9:06 p.m. Monday, Travis County EMS responded to a call about a man who'd been shot in the abdomen.
According to Travis County Sheriff's the shooting happened in the 1300 block of FM 969 just east of State Highway 130.
Medics transported 53-year-old Jesus Plata of Austin to a nearby hospital. His injuries are not life-threatening.
Tuesday, Plata was taken into custody and charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.
