AAA hosting summit to address impaired driving

New research shows as more and more states move toward legalizing marijuana the direct connection between the drug and deadly crashes is growing. That's leading AAA to host a new summit to address impaired driving.

The summit is being held at the Palmer Events Center and is the first where AAA is talking about the three Ds: drunk driving, drowsy driving and drugged driving.

Experts from across Texas will talk about what's being done to combat those issues and keep the roads safe.

AAA says impaired driving is a huge traffic safety problem in Texas.

The summit begins at 10 a.m. is expected to wrap up at around 3 p.m. The keynote speaker will be the daughter who lost her mother in the deadly Uvalde County bus crash.
