APD arrests three women in prostitution operation

AUSTIN, Texas— The Austin Police Department arrested three women Monday during an undercover prostitution operation.

During the APD investigation, the women were approached in different Austin areas by an undercover officer assigned to that region.

All three women conversed and negotiated intercourse and/or fellatio in exchange for money with the undercover officer in their region.

The following women have been charged with prostitution:

• Joyce Tolbert, 51
• Rae Dixon, 44
• Lori Harper, 57

Two of the encounters took place on East Oltorf Street; the third incident took place on South Congress Avenue. All three women have been previously convicted of prostitution.
