Doctor Julia Coronado, an economic forecaster and professor at UT Austin, joins Marcel Clarke on FOX 7 Austin to talk about the effects the coronavirus pandemic can have on Austin's economy.

AUSTIN, Texas - During the coronavirus pandemic, stock markets, industries, and economies are taking a hit.

Austin has seen some layoffs, including some from SXSW which was canceled due to the outbreak. Other businesses, like the Dallas Mavericks, are trying to help compensate employees while work stops.
