One killed, two injured in crash on East Anderson Lane

AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin Police Department is investigating a fatal collision on East Anderson Lane that sent three people to the hospital. Drivers were being asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes if possible. 

The collision happened within the 2000 block of eastbound East Anderson Lane, according to Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services. First responders were dispatched to the collision around 12:18 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, according to APD.

Two adult patients were transported by ATCEMS to Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas, both with critical, life-threatening injuries. A third patient was also transported to Dell Seton Medical Center with minor, non-life threatening injuries. 

One of the patients died on their way to the local hospital.
