Pedestrian struck and killed in North Austin

AUSTIN, Texas - A pedestrian is dead after he was struck by a vehicle in North Austin. 

A preliminary Austin Police Department investigation shows that a black 2014 F150 truck was traveling northbound in the inside lane in the 7800 block of North I-35. According to police, at this time the truck collided with a pedestrian who was walking with an acquaintance.

The man, who remains unidentified at this time, was pronounced deceased on the scene. His acquaintance was uninjured. The driver of the truck remained on the scene and no charges are expected to be filed at this time, police say.
