Puppy Bowl, Austin Humane Society celebrates 13th Annual football themed adoption event

It's the biggest weekend of the year for football, and puppies, so it would seem. Saturday is the Austin Humane Society's 13th Annual Puppy Bowl!

The puppy party is back for 2020 and will be featuring a full-day event featuring family-friendly tailgate, local food and drink vendors, and of course plenty of adoptable puppies. The party begins at the Yard Bar from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.

The main event, Puppy Bowl Live, will have spectators watch the cutest pups in Austin go head to head against one another, with the possibility of facing penalities such as ‘Illegal Watering’, ‘Unnecessary Cuteness’, ‘Unpuppy-like Conduct’, ‘Ruffing the Passer’, and ‘Illegal Sniffing in the Back’.

You can enter your own dogs into the Puppy Bowl, with the only exception being that they must be under 30 pounds to play.

The event is free, however, you can but the "VIP of Very Important Puppy" pass for $35 which will get you a t-shirt, one free drink ticket, and a pass into the 2nd Annual  Tailgate Food Competition!

All proceeds from the event will go back into the Austin Humane Society to help pets in need!
