San Marcos police looking for men who stabbed person in the neck at holiday festival

The San Marcos Police Department says one man is recovering in the hospital after being stabbed at a Christmas event last night.

Around 9 p.m. Wednesday, police working security at Sights and Sounds in San Marcos, came across a man who was stabbed in the neck while at the festival. First responders took him to Seton Hays Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.

The San Marcos Police Department says they believe there was an argument between the victim and two suspects, resulting in the stabbing. “The public really can’t help at this point they should just go and enjoy themselves at Sights and Sounds. We feel this is an isolated incident and these two knew each other from a previous contact,” Kelly Bomersbach with SMPD says.
