Suspects sought in violent purse snatching in Houston restaurant parking lot
HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division are asking for the public’s help identifying the suspects they say dragged a woman by her purse and nearly ran her over during an aggravated robbery in a Houston restaurant parking lot.
According to police, a group of people were talking in the parking lot of a restaurant on West Holcombe on Feb. 4 when a red car pulled up and a man jumped out.

Police say the man, who was wearing a ski mask and black clothing, grabbed someone’s purse and ran back to the car. At the same time, police say a second suspect grabbed another woman’s purse from her shoulder.
Police say the woman was thrown to the ground, but refused to give up her purse and was dragged by the suspect towards the suspect’s vehicle.
During a brief struggle, police say the woman was nearly run over by the suspect vehicle and she then gave up the purse.
The suspects fled westbound on West Holcombe. Police say the two male suspects, believed to be 20-to-30 years old, were driving a red 4-door sedan, possibly a Honda Accord.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222 8477 (TIPS). Crime Stoppers may pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and/or arrest of the suspect in this case.
