WASHINGTON - While we're not getting a white Christmas here in D.C. this year, the Smithsonian National Zoo is helping everyone get into the holiday spirit with a video of giant panda Bei Bei playing in the snow.
Bei Bei the panda was spotted playing and tumbling at the National Zoo as he celebrated the first snowfall of the season on Nov. 15.
The National Zoo posted video of the 3-year-old giant panda enjoying the puffy white flakes, rolling around and climbing trees.
The National Zoo shared the video, whishing followers a Christmas "as merry as a giant panda in the snow rolling in a winter wonderland!"
The Zoo and ZooLights are closed for Christmas, but despite the partial government shutdown, the Zoo and ZooLights will reopen on Wednesday and through New Year's Day.
