City of Austin extends Stay Home, Work Safe order to June 15

The order extension continues most all the provisions from the prior city order, including the mandates to stay at home except as specifically allowed, avoid gatherings, observe social distancing, and wear face coverings.

The letter alleges current orders restrict essential businesses, like houses of worship. Adler said the city’s Stay Home and Work Safe order has consistently changed to complement the changes the governor’s office made.

"Really the only change is that we have now included the reopen businesses that the Governor had included as exceptions to the general stay-at-home orders," Adler said.
