George Strait, joined by Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen, set the bar and have made RODEOHOUSTON  history by setting the concert-only performance attendance record with 80,108 fans at NRG Stadium.

This surpasses the previous NRG Stadium attendance record set in 2013 by Strait, who had performed with Martina McBride and the Randy Rogers Band before 80,020 attendees.

The record set on Sunday is unrelated to the paid rodeo/concert attendance record set by Los Tigres del Norte on Go Tejano Day on March 10 with 75,586 people, which had surpassed rapper Cardi B's Black Heritage Day performance attendance on March 1, which attracted 75,580.
