Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter "barks in the Mew Year" with free adoptions

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is "barking in the Mew Year" by offering free adoptions this weekend!

The adoptions were made possible by a donation from the Petco Foundation, says WCRAS.

All adult dogs over 20 pounds and all adult cats will be free to adopt from Jan. 2-4. Kittens and puppies under seven months old and dogs under 20 pounds are $75 to adopt.

“The new year is a wonderful time to adopt. It is a time for new resolutions and new loves,” said WCRAS shelter director Cheryl Schneider. “We hope the community decides to be the love that saves lives.”

All adoptable animals will be spayed or neutered, have age-appropriate vaccinations, and a registered microchip. Adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary wellness exam and coupons to local businesses.
