APD releases photo of suspect in New Year's shooting at Sixth Street bar

The Austin Police Department has released a photo of a man suspected in a shooting at a bar on Sixth Street New Year's Day.

APD says officers saw a large group of people running out of the Terminal Six bar on East Sixth Street after 1 a.m. Jan. 1. Someone told them a shooting had happened inside.

Officers entered, secured the building and found two victims, a 19-year-old man with a graze wound to his arm and a 19-year-old woman with a thigh wound. Both were transported to an area hospital.

The suspect APD is looking for is described as a black man in his mid-20s to mid-30s, 5'7" and between 160 to 180 pounds, with long black dreadlocks below the shoulder. He was last seen wearing a multi-colored, long-sleeved shirt and dark pants.

The Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission issued an emergency 60-day suspension for Terminal Six on Jan. 3 for two months following the shooting. The owner of the bar has told FOX 7 he has decided to shut the bar down and sell it.
