Person dies after being pulled from Lady Bird Lake

AUSTIN, Texas - Austin-Travis County EMS says that a person was found below the Congress Avenue Bridge at around 5:45 p.m. on March 26.

Rescue crews responded to a call about a person who was submerged and hadn't resurfaced.

Bystanders had pulled the person out of the water and were administering CPR.

EMS pronounced the person dead just after 6:30 p.m. and cleared the scene.
