Student lunch debt at three Del Valle ISD schools paid off

Ben Hofer founded LunchCounts! and he was able to donate more than $4,000 to pay off the majority of student lunch debt at Del Valle Middle School, Ojeda Middle School, and Del Valle High School.

Central Texas Food Bank in need of donations, buying food at retail

The food bank relies heavily on donations, or, in certain cases, being able to purchase food from around the country at a discount through the Feeding America Project.

Central Texas Food Bank holds emergency food distribution drive-thru

The bank says attendees will receive a box containing shelf-stable items such as peanut butter, brown rice, canned tuna or chicken, and canned fruit. Attendees will also receive either a box of frozen food or a bag of produce. 

Austin Diaper Bank holding special Mother's Day diaper distribution

The Mother's Day distribution will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at ADB's North Austin warehouse located at 8711 Burnet Road, Building B and will include a special gift bag while supplies last.

Central Texas Food Bank holds food distribution event at Del Valle High School

The organization has committed to continue its mobile food distribution event through the month of May and at last week's event at Toney Burger Stadium more than 1,500 boxes were given out.
