One man dead in Round Rock vehicle collision

According to police, two cars collided at East Old Settlers Blvd. and West Mesa Park Drive in Round Rock just before 9 a.m.

The then 19-year-old was attending Mesa Junior College in San Diego and had been home, visiting her family at the time. She was staying at her parent’s house in Georgetown, Texas.

According to police, a mother observed a man approach her children in a black sedan. He parked the car and started speaking to the children.

In January of 2002, Cooke was visiting her parents' home in Georgetown while on winter break from San Diego Mesa College. She was last seen walking towards her house from approximately 200 yards away.

City of Cedar Park offering free holiday tree recycling this weekend

The city will be accepting holiday trees for recycling in the Cedar Park Recreation Center parking lot on Jan. 4 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Williamson County cuts back on number of trees needing to be removed along Hairy Man Road

From a couple hundred trees needing to be cut, the number is now down to less than a hundred. While those who signed the petition to save the trees say this is a good direction, the fight isn't over yet.
