Canceling SXSW has affected many in the Austin community, but for some, it's a chance to lean on their community for help and for businesses to give back.

The Violet Crown is debuting “Feels Good Man,” a documentary about the internet meme, Pepe the Frog, and his battle to take back his image from those who used it for their own purposes. 

Fears over the rapidly spreading novel coronavirus outbreak are causing authorities to take extra precautions with mass gatherings and events.

Now that the decision has been made by city leaders to cancel SXSW, bar employees say this is their worst nightmare come true.

It wasn’t only that Peg Miller saw promise in the artists that came into her building, she took a place of music and allowed it to be a place to learn and grow.

"Following the recommendation of Mayor Steve Adler, city health officials and South by Southwest officials, we have decided to cancel all Health Alliance for Austin Musicians hosted events during the week of SXSW."
