Hutto officials hope to stop waste transfer station proposal

City leaders in Hutto are doing everything they can to prevent a Lubbock company from building a waste transfer station in their growth corridor. The Mayor, Hutto City Council and Hutto ISD spoke against the plan at a public meeting held by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, which will eventually decide whether to permit the operation.
