Torchy's Tacos is inviting the Pflugerville community to a grand opening party where they can enjoy free tacos, drinks, giveaways and live entertainment. The new Torchy's Tacos location at the Stone Hill Town Center will feature an outdoor patio and full-service bar.

Pflugerville Police Chief Jessica Robledo says she received two fake check from local businesses. It turns out it was all a scam and now she wants to warn the community so others don't become victims.

Officials say that a body has been recovered from Lake Pflugerville. They are awaiting positive identification from the Travis County Medical Examiner's Office but it's believed to be the body of a missing kayaker.

The missing kayaker who drowned at Lake Pflugerville has been identified by officials as 23-year-old Puja Thapa. A witness had told police about seeing a woman in a kayak that had overturned when a strong storm moved over the lake last weekend.
