APD: Woman hits ex-girlfriend with car while intoxicated in South Austin

The victim said that when she was walking in the McDonald's parking lot, she was hit in her right hip by the Mustang, causing her to roll up onto the hood and off the side of the car

TABC investigating two Austin-area businesses after deadly South Austin crash

The investigation began after 24-year-old Paul Joseph Garcia, Jr., indicated to Austin police he had consumed alcohol at multiple businesses prior to the crash.

The suspect initially told the officer that he had not been drinking, but admitted to having a few sips of the beer earlier in the night after the officer inquired about the open container in the vehicle.

Warrant out for South Austin man who stabbed man in the face

The victim told detectives he had known the man since fifth grade and had had an affair with Amaro-Herrera's girlfriend about eight years ago. He said he believed the man was over it, but a recent incident at a store led him to believe the man was still angry with him.

He also told officers he had never lived in the home and didn't know the residents, saying "this is somebody else's home, I do not know whose home this is."

Fire officials discuss foam entering water supply following church fire in January

On January 22 there was a substantial fire at WestOak Woods Baptist Church. Dozens of firefighters were called to contain it, then soon after residents living nearby reported their water was foamy and smelled like chemicals.
