Marches around the square happened throughout the afternoon, all from people wanting their message to be heard.

The storm hit the northwest side of Georgetown shortly before midnight Wednesday and continued into Thursday morning.

The city says the opening comes in accordance with orders from Governor Abbott's office as well as the city's ability to provide staffing and essential safety measures like social distancing. 

The resignation is effective Sunday, May 31. Nicholson is serving her first term on the Georgetown City Council after being elected in May 2017.

Georgetown boasted a growth rate of 7.2% from July 1, 2018, to July 1 of 2019, resulting in a population estimate of 79,604. 

According to the city, the openings will be in accordance with the orders from the governor's office, as well as the city's ability to provide "essential safety measures and enforce occupancy requirements." 

Wolf Ranch Town Center announced its reopening on Monday, May 4. Shoppers should expect some changes.

The circular signs, made and donated by Minuteman Press of Georgetown, feature a basketball-patterned trim and each one is numbered to encourage the community to attempt to find all 33.

The closures go into effect at 6 p.m. March 16 and are in place until further notice.
