2020 Main Street Car Show canceled in Taylor

Taylor's Main Street Car Show, the largest public event in the City, is traditionally held in historic downtown Taylor on the last Saturday of October.

Taylor Fire Department: No injuries in extinguished chemical plant fire

The fire began around 7:50 p.m. Saturday night at the manufacturing plant located at 206 Allison Road in Taylor, Texas. Fire units arrived on scene and saw the roof of the plant was on fire.

Lake Marble Falls, along with Lake Granger north of Taylor, join 27 other Texas lakes where zebra mussels have been found. The mussels not only cause problems for water utilities, but clusters of the shells are razor-sharp, creating hazards in recreational areas.
