All across Central Texas are similar stories, parks closed in an effort to promote social distancing during this pandemic. Not every park is closed though.

Hays County officials report seventh positive coronavirus case

According to a press release from the county, the adult subject was on the campus of San Marcos High School on March 12 but was not showing any symptoms at the time. He later developed a fever and tested positive for the virus. San Marcos CISD has sent notifications to its students and faculty.

Despite being closed to the public, the shelter, which serves all of Hays County, still has an abundance of cats and dogs needing permanent or foster homes, says a release from Hays County.

Officials say the person is a Kyle resident and how the person contracted the virus is unclear. It's the second case in Kyle.
